It can be hard to keep your pet safe all of the time but being aware of the many poisons and hazards in your home can help avoid dangerous situations.

Did you know that human medications including dropped pills sickened more pets in the United States last year than any other toxin? (Newsday Jan. 29, 2011)  This is the third year in a row that human medications top the ASPCA's list of Top 10 Toxins!

5. Veterinary Medications

8. Plants: Lilies
9. Herbicides: Fertilizer
10. Outdoor Toxins
