Services

Due to the major threats in your neighborhood such as contagious diseases and parasites, we stress the importance of an annual physical examination. Thorough checkups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems. We offer a wide range of veterinary services to keep your companions feeling their best:
Vaccinations: We offer a wide array of vaccines for our canine and feline patients. For our canine patients, we offer Rabies, Distemper combo, leptospirosis, bordetella (kennel cough) and lymes. Rabies and the Distemper combo are considered the minimal protocol "core vaccinations". The other vaccines administered will depend upon your specific pets exposure (i.e. ticks) and risk factor (i.e. doggie day care, kennel, dog shows). For our feline patients we offer Rabies, Distemper combo and Leukemia vaccinations. Again, the vaccine administration will be adjusted to your pets life style (indoor/outdoor). We will be happy to discuss any questions your may have.
Diagnostic Services: Our hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic services to care for your pet's complete health care needs. This includes a vast array of bloodtests, parasitic testing, urinalysis, biopsy, state-of-the-art digital x-rays, as well as blood pressure and many other services listed below.
Surgical Services: Our surgical equipment and multi-doctor staff provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures, including spay and neuter, lumpectomy, orthopedic, as well as many others.
Anesthesia: Our patients are evaluated individually to ensure the safest possible anesthetic protocol. We utilize anesthetic which will provide an extra margin of safety, especially for older or high-risk patients. Using our monitors, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures.
Medical Consults: We work in conjuncture with veterinary medical specialists who perform in-house ultrasounds, echocardiograms and electrochardiograms. We also offer referrals to specialty practices in addition to consults to assist with the diagnosis of more complex cases.
Radiology Services: Our state-of-the-art digital radiology equipment provides high quality radiographs to aid in the quick diagnosis of many disorders. Digital x-rays allow for rapid evaluation of radiographs by board-certified radiologists.

As pets reach age 7 (5-6 for large dogs) they need a thorough physical examination, along with laboratory tests, and their medical history reviewed, to determine a standard against which to compare any future health problems they may have. Careful observation of your senior pet is vital to continuing their happy & healthy life. Please visit our "Senior Pets" page to get detailed information.

Mixed breed DNA analysis: We now offer mixed breed DNA testing. It currently detects the signatures of more than 130 American Kennel Club recognized breeds. This test will not only allow you to feel more connected to your pet but can also aid the doctor in better treating and diagnosing your pet based on his or her genetic predisposition to diseases.
